I like to tell ‘digital natives’ that I made the internet.

The truth is that while I honed skills in brand strategy and customer relationship marketing, I was one of a very small number of Canadians who were inventing how to use the internet for marketing.  My first ever presentation was a recommendation to Glaxo on using the internet to market to physicians and patients.  The presentation was done on acetates, no kidding.

I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with talented people at global agencies Ogilvy and Wunderman, leading planning by combining brand, direct and digital marketing skills.  For years I recommended innovative marketing to clients and then innovated myself by starting-up Quizative with partners Adrian Capobianco and Adam Oliveira.

“Truly a partner”

I learned that ‘selling’ the client isn’t as good as collaborating with them.  I also developed methods for engaging a complex mix of stakeholders from c-suite leaders, elected officials, bureaucrats, employees, external stakeholders to consumers.  When listening to diverse voices with seemingly different opinions, themes emerge that are true for all.

“Brilliantly blunt”

You’ll get the truth, but you won’t be surprised.  You’re part of the creative thinking process.
